A global online store, just around the corner
We'd like to say register55 is 'revolutionary' – but 'evolutionary' is more appropriate: when the Internet first boomed, every loungeroom entrepreneur was trying to sell their widgets around the globe. Some succeeded. Many didn't.
Search engines have changed our access to knowledge. There's now so much information and so many choices we're refocussing on what happens in our town, down our street, over our fence.
We want to get local again. We want to see a face, know a name, appreciate good service... and have someone we can call on when things don't quite go like clockwork.
register55 is about making this happen.

John Cuthberton
John's done so many varied things, he has trouble answering the 'what do you do' question in a single sentence. It started with economics and evolved into media, marketing, and web hosting. He was feeling a little bored and in need of a challenge, so took on business analysis.
He's a compulsive list maker and a useless filer. John bushwalks, mountain bikes, and photographs. He has a list of great ideas three pages long – just not enough time to give them all a go.
If you meet him, he'll probably ask what you do when you're NOT at work. Those are the things that seem to make his life interesting.
Simon Jansen
Simon soaks up news like a sponge – but you'd expect that from a former journalist. Perhaps that's why he's also never short of an opinion on just about anything.
It's his innate curiosity that led him online. He's taught himself design and web programming, become fascinated with marketing and human behaviour, and can't believe how so many companies still get it wrong!
Simon rides push bikes that make everyone laugh and point. We don't think he's an attention seeker, but he seems to attract it. He's created his own content management system and given countless small business an online voice.
